Carpet tile is the smart choice anywhere a single damaged section would normally mean ripping up an entire room - a common ask in the daylight basements and bonus rooms found throughout the Willamette Valley. Almost always, yes. Padding compresses and absorbs moisture over the years, and our wet Oregon winters make that worse; reusing old pad also voids most carpet warranties. We include fresh 8-pound rebond pad in every install.
